Grace Joyner
Research Technician
Grace graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology and neuroscience from the University of South Carolina. In school she worked in a neurobiology lab focused on drug addiction, studying the relationship between dopamine pathways in the brain and risk and reward behavior in rats. Her senior Honors College thesis was based on this work.
Currently, Grace works with the in-vivo team in the Aguirre lab. She is interested in translational research; specifically patient derived xenografts used in cancer research and genetically engineered mouse models for pancreatic cancer. Outside of work, Grace likes to spend time with friends, at the park or going to a museum, draw and paint. She moved to Boston from North Carolina. Contact: [email protected] |
