Hanrong received her Masters of Medicine degree from Zhejiang University in 2019, and then joined the Aguirre lab. She is interested in DNA damage and repair pathways and their relevance to oncology, as well as exploiting DNA replication stress for cancer treatment. In the future, Hanrong plans to pursue a PhD in an oncology based research field. She currently works between the Aguirre lab and the Alan D. D'Andrea lab. Outside of the lab, Hanrong enjoys dancing, photography, and video games.
