Jaclyn Varga-Wiles
Research Technician
Jaclyn Varga-Wiles earned her B.S. in molecular and cell biology at the University of Connecticut where she graduated magna cum laude. She was fortunate to join the historic Phi Beta Kappa honors society in 2023 and is now an active member in the Boston area. Through coursework and lab experience, Jaclyn has cultivated an interest in studying cancers driven by aberrant activation of RAS proteins.
Jaclyn works on the RAS therapeutics team in the Aguirre lab, performing preclinical drug studies using in vivo and in vitro models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). She hopes her work will help to elucidate the mechanisms by which acquired drug resistance arises and inform future multi-drug treatment options that minimize the risk of pancreatic cancer recurrence. In her free time Jaclyn enjoys backpacking, skiing, traveling, karaoke, sewing and sharing meals with friends and family. Contact: [email protected] |
