Josh Choe
PhD Student
Josh Choe is a PhD student in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences program at Harvard Medical School and is jointly mentored by Andy Aguirre and Lew Cantley. He holds a BA in Biology from Columbia University, where he was an I.I. Rabi Scholar. His past research has identified metabolic vulnerabilities associated with squamous cancers and has elucidated neomorphic activities of mutant p53 that both promote tumorigenesis and impose targetable liabilities.
Currently, Josh is focused on understanding mechanisms of resistance to RAS inhibition in pancreatic cancer to motivate the rational development of second-line therapies. Additionally, he is interested in elucidating metabolic adaptations in PDAC that support RAS inhibitor resistance. Outside of the lab, Josh enjoys cooking, fishing, going to museums, and gaming.
